Where do we even start with these guys?! First off, we love them!

River Wild consists of two Alaskan families who were looking to share the “last frontier” with travelers coming to Alaska. Tommy and David’s families have been exploring Anchorage and beyond their whole lives. They knew there was an opportunity to share their state outside of the typical “cruise ships” that frequent the harbors. From this idea, River Wild Camper Vans was born.

Boho built three vans for River Wild: Tonzona, Wild Ram and Termination Dust. They share the same layout, but have different finishes including upholstery and custom artwork over the sink designed by Annie Brace at Corso Graphics.

The Alaskan climate required us to outfit the vans for cold weather. Each van has an Espar B4L cabin heater that ties into the fuel tank - complete with wall mounted thermometer. It can run off-grid off the gasoline tank and keeps the vans warm through out the night.

Because of their families, we installed removable bench seats to safely accommodate 4 travels heading down the road. The sofa also converts into a bed at night - which allows a comfortable place to sleep 3 travelers (or perhaps a cozy 4).

Electronic components include 400 watts of solar, 315ah of sealed AGM batteries and the best Victron components on the market.

River Wild plans on offering up Kayak rentals, and other fun toys. Because of this, we outfitted the vans for extra space on top with a roof rack and rear access ladder.

The vans were complete just in time for River Wild’s summer season! At pickup, the Boho team and River Wild met up for dinner in Tempe, AZ and shared stories, insights and laughs including the night when Tommy and David had to share a sleeping bag together. We will let those guys share the story, but their new vans should prevent that from ever happening again.
