Ford Transit High Roof 148” Extended

story:

Oh sweet Lou Lou! Bethany and Spencer wanted a Boho Van to fit their small family of three. The family travels often, as Bethany and Spencer specialize in film - from screenwriting, directing, producing - they run the whole show.

Lou Lou was built on a Ford Transit high roof to accommodate for Spencer’s height. The extended version of the Transit allowed for a large bed, which was positioned to sleep front to back. The living space was modified to include a removable 3rd seat to ensure the whole crew could be a long for the ride.

The living area has a pull-out butcher block table, and the sofa seats were custom upholstered with Pendleton fabrics, which allows for both Bethany and Spencer to work comfortably on the road.

The kitchenette had unique tile chosen by the clients, as well as a custom copper sink and faucet to fit their individual style. The sink is fed by 25 gallons of water which also directs to an outdoor shower off the rear.

Bethany and Spencer opted for a no stain on their red cedar paneling, showcasing the unique color and texture of the wood. Ambient lighting is run throughout to ensure the mood is always right.

Victron electrical components were installed with 315 ah of battery bank, powered by 380 watts of solar mounted on the roof. A DC-DC isolator was also used to provide that extra boost of power.

Custom windows were installed over the bed and the slider door to allow for natural light - which is all too prevalent in their area of Los Angeles.

Bethany and Spencer were able to pick up Lou Lou on Christmas Eve, which they promptly took up to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon to celebrate a wedding. It was a special holiday for the family, as “santa” has a brand new sleigh.
