RAM Promaster 2500 High Roof 159”

Jill and Josh are avid campers, hikers and travelers. They’ve been all over the world backpacking, and spend as much time outdoors at home in Portland as they can. As much as they loved their time tent camping and backpacking, they were ready to take their travels to the next level with their own Boho van.

Their van is named Pink Rabbit - which is an homage to one of their favorite songs. The song is elegant and beautiful, and we had big shoes to fill to live up to the name. It’s also the name of an alcoholic beverage, meaning we had to make it fun too.

The finishes of Pink Rabbit were chosen by Jill - and she pulled it off perfectly! The duvet cover reminded them of their wedding colors - inspired by a trip to India. The Terra Cotta upholstery fit the “Pink” namesake, and the Blanco distressed tile gave it a timeless elegance.

Jill and Josh opted for a built-in 2-burner stove with a glass cover to fold down when not in use for extra prep space. Additional prep space comes from a large butcher block slide out table that pulls out from under the bed, which also serves as a mobile office space and dining table.

Victron components power Pink Rabbit through the combination of a SmartSolar controller, 2000W Multiplus Inverter and an Orion DC-DC isolator system. They’ll have plenty of power to use off grid on PNW beaches.

Dometic appliances were used throughout, including a 75L electric fridge, a 5 gallon cassette toilet and their built-in stove.

Final upgrades for their van included a hot water heater (yes, hot showers!) and both a slider door and bedside window with screens.

Jill and Josh have family in Tucson, AZ (where Jill is originally form). They picked up their finished van and spent a few days with family in Old Pueblo before roadtrippin’ back to the Pacific Northwest. They spent their first night in Joshua Tree National Park - but will soon trade Yucca brevifolia’s for Douglas Fir’s (and maybe a few Pink Rabbit’s).
